Ondo (ONDO)

RWA Mid cap Reviewed: 2026-07-02

Ondo (ONDO) is the token of Ondo Finance, a leader in 'real-world asset' (RWA) tokenization — putting traditional financial products like US Treasury bonds and money-market funds onto the blockchain so they can be held and traded as tokens. Its main products let people hold tokenized, interest-earning US government debt on-chain (giving 'boring', TradFi-style yield instead of crypto speculation). The idea is to bridge Wall Street and crypto: bring safe, regulated, yield-bearing assets into DeFi. ONDO is the governance token of the platform; its value is tied to the growth and success of that tokenization business rather than to a blockchain of its own.

Where it stands today: RWA tokenization has moved from hype to real infrastructure, with tens of billions of dollars of assets now on-chain, and Ondo is one of the biggest players — the second-largest issuer of tokenized US Treasuries. It has deep ties to major institutions (it is the largest holder of BlackRock's tokenized BUIDL fund and has run pilots with JPMorgan, Mastercard and Ripple), is expanding into tokenized stocks and IPO access, and got a regulatory boost when the US SEC closed a multi-year investigation into it without charges. So today it's a well-connected, fast-growing bet on the single hottest institutional narrative in crypto — with the usual caveat that the token's value capture from that growth isn't guaranteed.
