A market is any place where buyers and sellers meet to exchange something. It can be physical (a fruit market) or digital (a stock exchange, a crypto exchange). In all markets the same logic applies: there are people who want to buy and people who want to sell, and the price is the point where both agree.

At your local market, if there are many watermelons and few buyers, the price falls. If there are few watermelons and many people wanting them, the price rises. Exactly the same thing happens with Bitcoin, Apple shares, or any other asset.
